Assignment: Find a photographic resource on the web that you like, and write a blog post that explains what it is and how it relates to our course. Be specific about the things you like about it. Describe the images that you see. Make connections between the site and our recent course readings. Tell us why this site should be added to our blogroll. And make sure that you LINK to it, so that others can visit it if they like what you’ve written about it.
As you’re searching for a resource, you might think about researching the work of a particular photographer or a particular type of photograph.
Particular photographers you might want to look up include:
Walker Evans
Ansel Adams
Dorthea Lange
Eadweard Muybridge
Edward Curtis
Edward Steichen
Garry Winogrand
Henri Cartier-Bresson
Joel Meyerowitz
Joseph Nicephore Niepce
Julie Margaret Cameron
Louis Jacques Mande Daguerre
Margaret Bourke-White
Paul Strand
Cindy Sherman
Zoe Strauss
or anyone else who interests you.
I hope that you’ll find this blog post topic both more provocative and easier to complete than the previous assignments I gave you. I think that there is a lot of potential here for some interesting blog posts. Have fun with this.

If you enjoy Edward S. Curtis’s work, you will surely want to see The Indian Picture Opera. This is a remake of a Curtis 1911 slide show and lecture on DVD. I found it on Amazon. Its about an hour long, and an amazing documentary.
